Courtnie, Güney Kaliforniya’da yaşayan genç bir kadın. Kendisi 12 yıl önce sağlıklı yaşamın kapılarını aralamış.

Being a creator is an interesting thing. Honestly, it leaves me to feel quite vulnerable at times. "Is this good enough, will people like this, will they like me?" The reality is, you can't please everyone🤷🏼‍♀️ When you put yourself out there, you open yourself up to criticism and opposing opinions. At the end of the day the only thing that matters is that you speak your truth, work hard and always come from a good place with good intentions. 12 yıl önce bu kararı alması ve adım adım uygulamaya başlamasının ise iki sebebi varmış. İlki atletik performansını arttırmak, ikincisi ise bazı cilt problemlerini azaltmaya çalışmak.

I do realize that not everyone wants to or has time to make their smoothies with perfectly placed fruits, ombré layers and flowers. It happens to be something that I enjoy doing but I also want my recipes to be accessible to people who aren't interested in making their food so extra😅. This smoothie here is anti inflammatory, immune boosting and really easy to make! All you need is some pre made chia pudding (1/4 cup chia seeds + 1 cup almond milk soaked for 3 hours) frozen zucchini, frozen peaches, persimmon, dragon fruit, turmeric, almond milk, a protein source of your choice (I used @vitalproteins) ginger and coconut yogurt. Blend everything with 2 tbsp chia pudding, layer bottom of your glass with has much extra chia pudding as you'd like and pour smoothie over the top. To be honest, some days I feel completely uninspired and unmotivated. I feel sorrow and sadness for no apparent reason. Some days I eat one too many ice cream sandwiches and stay in my sweatpants all day long. On these days it's easy to get discouraged and loose sight of my goals, but I always tell myself that a better day is right around the corner. It would be really easy to make it look like my life is perfectly wonderful all of the time, but that wouldn't be the full picture. I do my best to take the good with the bad and always look to the horizon for a better day to come. When people ask me "how do you stay so healthy?" or "how do you never get sick?" the answer is pretty simple. I eat a wide variety of vegetables at every meal, drink lots of water, sleep 8 hours every night without fail and move my body daily. It's easy to want to complicate things with fancy potions, powders and vitamins but it's important to have the basics covered first. There are some health "extras" that have been really helpful for me in my day to day life but there are also some that I've found to be completely unnecessary. More on that another day. If you're someone who feels completely overwhelmed with all the health trends these days, try to take a step back and make sure you're eating a diet that's rich in nutrients (from vegetables and other whole food sources), getting enough sleep and drinking enough water. Some days I wake up and can't even believe that I'm a yoga teacher. As someone who's been painfully shy my whole life (so much so that I had to repeat the 1st grade because I wouldn't speak to anyone🙊) it's an equally terrifying and exhilarating experience. To stand in front of a room full of strangers and guide their every move used to seem impossible to me. It's been a year now since I graduated from my teacher training and I still get butterflies in my stomach before I walk in the room before a class. I've had doubtful moments where I felt I wasn't cut out to be teaching yoga or anything for that matter. What I've learned is that who I used to be doesn't define me and who I want to be is totally in my control. We don't have to live in the shadow of our past.
